Selling your home, why sell with us?

As the only local Estate Agent to specialise in the sales of period property and homes with historical or architectural interest. We are able to offer a unique and individual approach to our marketing. Because we only sell period properties we have a distinct advantage when appealing to buyers.

Buyers come directly to us not only because they know that if they are looking for an older home then we have exactly what they are looking for but also for our experience and knowledge of properties with age.

We are very particular about the type of property we offer. Only a hand selected few make it into our heritage collection.

The desirability of these special homes make them a pleasure to sell and we immerse ourselves in the details of each home, bringing it to life on screen with dazzling photography and captivating film.

What to expect

The selling process

Selling your period home

The intoxicating feeling that you get from an old building, the scent and atmosphere of past lives lived. The weight of history that lingers in doorways and hangs in halls.
Its no coincidence that millions of people fall in love with an older home.

Owning a slice of history has always been a desirable prospect. The allure of a rustic cottage is undeniable, the decadence of a Georgian town house is irresistible.

Marketing

When selling your period property, you are already appealing to the converted. Our aim is to present your property at its best, our marketing will reflect the very best that your property offers, no detail is overlooked when presenting its virtues.

Once the marketing is complete and the property is ready for viewing then we go live online with our advertising.

Viewing

We undertake the viewings as we feel it is important for potential buyers to see the property as their own, it is important that where possible the property is dressed for sale. This can mean decluttering, depersonalising and rearranging. We can advise on how to dress your property for sale.

Offers

All offers will be put to you, negotiations can be stressful and can sometimes take time. It is important to consider each offer carefully and not to rush into a decision.

Once a price is agreed we will stop viewings and start the sales process.

Solicitor

You have agreed a sale price. Now you need a solicitor, our comprehensive list of solicitors will provide you with a quote. They are online and work very efficiently. However if you prefer to source your own solicitor then you will need to provide us with their full contact details.

The sale

You will be asked by your solicitor to complete the initial forms and identification checks. The buyers solicitor will carry out searches and enquiries, their mortgage provider will carry out a mortgage survey. Any other surveys that have been requested will also be carried out. During the sale you will receive regular updates from your solicitor regarding progress. The contracts will be drawn up and exchanged and a completion date set.
